Lined Paper Lamppost: The Wrap-Up

If you missed it, I put up a bit of an announcement post the other day that Lined Paper Lamppost, the webcomic I’ve been working on for the past couple of years, will be ending today, but since that decision was a kind of sudden development and the plans to do so weren’t for a long time anticipated, I have a few pages I would like to still share, in varying stages of completion, as well as some of the ideas I had for the webcomic had it stuck around as long as I’d originally intended. Onto What’s Next

I think it was around the time I completed the first semester of my last year in college that I really began to struggle with what it was I was supposed to do next. My degree in English was and would be wonderful, but the opportunities readily available to me weren’t quite what I had envisioned when I first began. I knew that long before I graduated, but in the months following, when jobs eluded me and the best I could manage was working in a coffee shop, I wrestled with what moment would be “mine”: my first moment of brilliance, my first moment of success, the first moment I might feel as though what I’d worked toward for all of the years prior would come to head and produce before me some sort of…something. Lined Paper Lamppost: How’s it Doing?

When I first launched my webcomic Lined Paper LamppostI was filled with a lot of things: anxiety, excitement, gas (probably) and in the days that followed, I wasn’t able to have the best perspective on how the comic was doing or would do since I simply wanted to release it–not to mention the fact that looking back on something so recently released doesn’t allow you a wide enough time frame for proper analyzation.  So! I’m going to do that here.  Lined Paper Lamppost, it’s been two and half months since its release–how is it doing? (more…)

Today is Lined Paper Lamppost’s Launch Day!

It has finally happened! After over a year of working on this webcomic project, the day has come for it to be released into the world! The link you can go to find it is both right here (at lplthecomic.com) and behind the “Lined Paper Lamppost” link, which you will find in the top menu.

Check it out. Like it, comment on it, reblog it, share it, print it out and mail it by carrier pigeon to your aunt on that island in the south Pacific.  It’s going to be a long journey so follow along with me.

Thank you!

Lined Paper Lamppost Has An Official Release Date!

After 15 months, Lined Paper Lamppost, my baby and, until soon, unreleased webcomic, has an official release date:

April 7!

That is two weeks from today, which is crazy to me that it is and could be finally getting released.  That being said, there is a website dedicated to the webcomic, but it is, at this moment, not quite finished.  It will however be done come time for the release and I will link it right here.

Get excited. Tell your friends. In the words of Donald Trump:

It’s gonna be ‘uge.

A Comic is Coming and That Comic is Mine

If you’ve been in, at least, some way observant toward my blog since it began last August, you will have noticed a lonely page along the top row of links titled, “Lined Paper Lamppost.”  And if you were even further observant, enough so to click on the link, read the brief and the little image that sits there, then you would know that “Lined Paper Lamppost” is actually a webcomic that I’ve been working on publishing for a while now.  And the exciting news here in regards to that comic is that, if everything goes according to plan, it will be released later this month after over a year of work.
